Is it JUST ANOTHER DAY OUT OF
Dr. King participated with the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950’s and 1960’s. He was a husband and a father with 4 young children during the marches. He was killed April 4, 1968. A national holiday celebrating his service and sacrifice was signed into law November 2, 1983 by President Ronald Reagan.
Some people celebrate this day by VOLUNTEERING. Others relax and treat it as a non school day….not a big deal.
