Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Dr. King participated with the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950’s and 1960’s. He was a husband and a father with 4 young children during the marches. He was killed April 4, 1968. A national holiday celebrating his service and sacrifice was signed into law November 2, 1983 by President Ronald Reagan.

Some people celebrate this day by VOLUNTEERING. Others relax and treat it as a non school day….not a big deal.

    I dont do anything on Mlk day but I do respect him and what he did for the black community. As vice president I think the brother should at least have a discussion about him and what he did and how we should celebrate his day.

    I plan to spend my day watching MLK Documentaries, but I think the Brotherhood should spread our knowledge of MLK and tech others

    I plan to spend my day watching film o his most famous speeches and one of my favorite “I Been To the Mountain top” I just remember the great things he done for the African Americans
